Start with a 12x12 piece of Cardstock and you will need score at 4" and 8", turn it one turn and score at 4" and 8". On each corner from one score line to the other mark and cut away part of that corner piece. I show you exactly how in the video.
Mats are cut at 3 3/4"x3 3/4" you will need a total of 11 pieces. With two of the pieces you will split them from one corner point to the other to make a triangle to glue on to of the inside pockets. To make the top your cardstock is 8 1/4"x8 1/4" you will score at 1 and 2 inches on all 4 sides. Cut away the 3 outside squares on each corner leaving the one tab to glue the top together. Glue the tabs together and then fold the end piece over to reinforce the top. Cut your mats for the sides at 3/4"x3 3/4" and glue on. Glue the top mat on and decorate. I tied mine together with a ribbon, but you can leave it as is. Thanks so much, E

We know at this time of year no one has the time to do a lot of projects, so we decided to show you just a few projects this week that may help you with those last minute gifts that we all forget about.
This is the first one and it is a sweet pocket folio. It has two pockets inside that will hold, money, gift cards, candy bars and more. Below are the measurements. Cover is 8 1/2x7 and on the 8 1/2" side you will need to score at 4" and 4 1/2" Pockets are cut at 6 1/2"x4 1/4" and you will need to score at 1/4"and 1/2" on two long sides and 1 short side. Cut away the boxes where the score lines cross and then apply your adhesive to the end flap to be ready to glue on your folio. Take a ruler and measure in from the bottom of the cover 1/2" and from each side 1/2" and make a small mark this will show just where to lay the pocket in and keep it as straight as possible. Your top flaps for the pockets are cut at 3 1/4"x2 1/2" and on the 2 1/2" you will need to score at 1 3/4 and 2 inches. You will need to cut a small angle on the end with the score marks so you can slide these into the top of the pocket and glue down to the cover. I put magnets on mine but you could always use velcro or ribbon to tie them. Mats for the pockets are cut at 3"x5 3/4" Mats for the front and back are cut at 3 3/4x6 3/4 inches. I closed mine with a ribbon and then decorated. and you are finished. Hope you give this a go, and thanks so much for watching. All product used is listed below the video with links as to where to purchase. Free PDF file below for the topper.

AuthorI am a crafter, teacher, businesswoman, mom, nana and wife and recent widow. I find that hard work keeps my mind off things of this world and my sweet hubby. Therefore crafting is my therapy. I love to teach what I know to others and share any inspiration that I can. I believe crafting is therapy. Thank you so much for your support. Archives
