I had lots of request to make an envelope for the card we created yesterday so here you go. They are quite easy when you get the hang of how to measure. For this card which is 4 1/4" tall and 8" long, I created a long envelope. These are the easiest to make. I have the template linked below and instructions on how I came up with the paper size. To calculate your paper size take the length of your envelope and add 1 1/2", this is for the long envelope. Then for the height you will take the height of the card times two and add 1 1/2 or 2 inches for your flap that size is up to you. You may want a longer flap than I made. Therefore you will need a piece of paper that is 9 1/2"x10". On the 9 1/2" side you will score at 1/2" and 9", then turn one turn and score at 3 1/2" and 8". Cut away the rectangles on the 4 corners and make a small angle cut as shown in the photo above. Then fold the middle flaps in and put glue on them and bring the bottom of the card up. There is your envelope. You can round the corners of the top flap if you want, I do it just makes it look more real.
