When you have a party and most of the people you want to invite live within a mile from you, why mail the invitations, hang them on their doors. And this way it is much more fun. This door hangers are so easy to make and you can decorate for any occasion. Let me know in the comments below if you do costume parties and if so what are you dressing up as? Start off with a piece of cardstock that is 9"x8" and on the 8" side you will score at 4". Fold this piece at the score line and glue it together, this makes it much stronger. Cut a mat piece that is 8 3/4"x3 3/4" and glue on the front. Then you will cut you door knob opening out. I have created a PDF and and SVG file for these they are linked below. But you can use a die or a punch. Now cut a piece of cardstock that is 12"x5 1/2", on the 5 1/2" side score at 1 1/2" turn one turn and score at 1 1/2", 5 1/4", 6 3/4" and 10 1/2". Cut away on of the tabs on the bottom, as shown in the video, then slice up on all the other score lines just to the veritcal line. Glue the two long sides together and then glue the bottom pieces together and you have created your little box for the door hanger. Mats are cut at 3 3/4"x1 1/4" cut two for the sides Mat for bottom is 1 1/4"x3 1/2" cut one Mat for front of box is 3 1/2"x3 3/4" cut one The circle sizes I used are as follows: For the door hanger part it is 2 7/8" For the sun it is 1 7/8" For the back layer of the sun 2 3/8" For the circle mat around the opening in the hanger it is a combination of dies that are 3 1/4" and 2 7/8". Again I have included the SVG and PDF files for these if you want them. For the little note holder I cut a piece of cardstock that is 3/4"x3" and rolled it and glued together. My straw is 1 3/4" long and it is a larger one. The little note is 3"x4" If you make these let me know, I hope you enjoy!
